Ready to serve up some fun this spring? The Kew Kids Saturday Morning Program is the perfect way for children aged 3–15 to learn, play, and grow their tennis skills in a supportive and engaging environment. This longstanding community program offers a full pathway of tennis development, for players playing at all levels.  

Saturday Morning Programs run in the Spring, Summer and Fall. Spring and Summer Saturday Morning Programming opens for registration on February 1st 2025.

Please note that The Fall Saturday Morning Program will be uploaded onto the website in the spring and will be open for registration at that time.

All program registrations require a Junior Membership which has a ($35 + HST) fee.

Important Policies for Cancellations and Changes

We want your experience to be smooth, so please review the following guidelines:

  • Cancellations:

    • All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email kewkids@kewgardenstennis.ca
    • Refunds are available for cancellations made at least 2 weeks before the first day of the session, minus a $10 administrative fee. Kew Credits are also available providing they are also made 2 weeks before the first day of the session. Credits bare no adminitrative cost.
    • No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within the 2 weeks leading up to the first day of the session.

  • Refunds:

    • Medical refunds require a doctor’s certificate and are only available before the program begins. Once the program starts, no refunds will be issued.
    • Pro-rated refunds are not offered for missed days or unused services. Full session fees apply once a child is registered and attends any part of the program.

  • Rain Policy:

    • Each program includes one scheduled rain make-up date. No additional make-up dates or refunds are provided for more than one rain cancellation.
    • If 30 minutes or more of a session is completed before rain occurs, the session is considered fulfilled and will not be rescheduled or refunded.

Introduce your little ones to the exciting world of tennis with our engaging program designed especially for children aged 3 to 5! Through the 10 Steps Towards Rallying, kids will learn the fundamentals of tennis in a fun, play-based format. They'll develop essential coordination and racquet skills such as rolling, bouncing, and hitting—all while building a love for the game and a strong athletic foundation.

Parents participate alongside your child in a series of interactive exercises, making this a bonding experience that's as enjoyable as it is educational. Perfect for sparking a lifelong passion for sports!

RED BALL

Ages 5-7
Our Red Ball program is all about fun, learning, and building confidence on the court! Perfect for young beginners, this class uses 19" to 23" racquets and focuses on developing essential motor and coordination skills through engaging, age-appropriate activities.

In the first phase, kids will master foundational techniques like underhand and overhead throwing, catching, hitting dropped balls, volleying, and serving in a half-court setting. As they progress, they’ll start rallying over a mini-net, playing cooperatively with peers, and building independence. Through exciting games, they’ll learn the 5 tennis fundamentals—grip, setup, impact point, hitting zone, and recovery—setting the stage for future competitive play. Kids are grouped accordingly by age and level through this pathway.

ORANGE BALL

Ages 8-10

In this stage, children embark on an exciting journey into the world of tennis, starting with basic exchanges from either the mini court or 3/4 court. We use 23″ to 25″ racquets paired with stage 2 orange balls that feature low compression for optimal control and comfort. Throughout this class, young players will develop essential tennis skills such as groundstroke rallies, overhead serves, volleys, and fundamental footwork techniques. This engaging environment encourages confidence, agility, and strategic thinking, setting a solid foundation for future success on the court.
